The Biblioteca Nazionale of Florence, a place well known to students and scholars from all over the world, whose interior is perhaps less known to Florentines, is the first stop on these musical visits. After a brief illustration of the musical manuscript treasures contained therein (with the exhibition of some of them), some musical pieces, selected from these manuscripts,  will be performed.

The Musical Visits, a new entry in this year’s edition, combine the discovery of places of exceptional artistic and cultural value with a final short concert, with music connected to the specific venue. It could be said that Florence hides, even from its citizens, artistic wonders that we aim to reveal through music.
