I Concerti al Cenacolo, Early Music in the Metropolitan City of Florence, that L’Homme Armé has organized since 1994, is the longest-running annual early music series of concerts in Tuscany. The concerts range from medieval to baroque music programs with a special focus on the 15th,16th and 17th centuries and take place in venues of particular historical and artistic significance. The main part of the concerts has taken place in the beautiful Museum of San Salvi where the wonderful fresco of Andrea del Sarto is located. In more recent times, also thanks to the contribution of the Metropolitan City of Florence, the range of concert venues has expanded to include locations such as old pieve, museums and Medici villas of the metropolitan area of Florence, lesser known locations that l’Homme Armé’s concert series will help to become more familiar and appreciated by the public.
